Wow. It's hard to believe that three years ago, this little package landed on my doorstep:
Of course, it all started a few weeks earlier, when I had seen my very first Malden in person, this one owned by the lovely Sandra.
After that moment, I was hooked. I barely even hesitated as I ripped open the package.
And here I am, exactly three years to the day later. This silly little bit of leather and metal has become one of the few entirely essential items in my life. Though I could wax poetic about my love for this binder all day long, I figured I would do a little look back in photographs. Before I begin, let me just say how happy I've been to have this binder with me over the past three years. It's been with me through some of the best and most challenging moments of my life. Here's to the next several years of challenges and joy!
The Malden has made it through a bajillion bag changes...

I've even made another bag change since this most recent post, so I suppose I should get on getting you all an updated what's in my bag post!
The Malden has also attended several meet ups with Filo friends from around the world...
Sometimes revealing that he was a bit chubbier than his fellow binders!
Or worse, showing his sultry side in NYC!

It never left my side while planning our DIY wedding...
And has even come along for trips to New York and our honeymoon in Costa Rica!
Speaking of Costa Rica, the Malden served as the perfect tool to record how we spent our days - I still love looking back to see how we spent our week in paradise!
The Malden has helped me get through three Christmas seasons full of shopping and receipts...
And it's been there to help me ring in three amazing New Years.
It's even seen me at my most relaxed on lazy summer days.
We've been through COUNTLESS insert and pen changes together...
And it was even signed by my favorite author!
It has survived being my planner and wallet for the past three years...
And even though I noticed a tiny gap in the bottom rings back in 2012, the Malden is still going strong!
I really can't believe I've spent the last three years using one planner - it is quite the feat with my planner history! But now that the Malden has been part of my life for so long, I just can't imagine using anything else until he falls to pieces!
I was going to embed a few planner videos in here as well, but I decided with how long this post already was that it might very well be overkill. So if you want to check out some planner video goodness (and some other random odds and ends) visit my YouTube channel HERE.
