A Blank Slate

With the exclusion of a few long standing appointments, August 2013 is looking quite bare...

Instead of panicking, I'm actually savoring the emptiness. While it lasts. You see, after the insanity of the last few weeks, Brian and I have been trying to figure out where we will go from here. Since the only thing holding him back from the job in Virginia was a lack of a degree, we are both thinking that perhaps returning to Kentucky to finish his program would be in our best interest.

Although he could probably find another job that would hire him sans a degree, we don't want to repeat this process were he to lose another job or quit in the future. And as crazy as our lives seem now, they are only going to get crazier in the future. Combine that with the feelings we are both still having of needing a change, and the decision for Brian to go back to school seems to be the logical next step.

Of course he still has to speak with his professors and counselors - he left the program nearly three years ago so we have to make sure he can still get back in and not have to take a bunch of catch up classes to get back to where he was. But, if all goes according to plan, my August may start filling up pretty quickly. Between a move, Brian restarting school, and me needing to find a job(s), August may end up being one of the busiest months of the year.

Which is why, at least for now, I am enjoying looking down and this blank and peaceful page!
