Calling this a recipe may be a pretty big stretch, considering it is more of an assembly process than anything else. But now that spring has finally decided to show up, this is one of my favorite snacks.
As is the case with many of my recipes, this brings back memories of my Mom. When we were little kids, as soon as strawberries were in season, this was a special after school snack. Even now that school is behind me, it's still a welcome bite of nostalgia after a long workday!
Here's what you'll need:
- Strawberries
- Sugar
- Milk (I use 1%, but anything will work!)
Here's what you'll need to do:
1. Cut up your strawberries in a bowl. Sprinkle with sugar. Pour in milk. Eat. That's it.
And one of the best parts? Once you eat all of the strawberries, you are left with some absolutely amazing strawberry milk :)
Alright, dish! What simple recipes do you have in your arsenal? Why does it always seem like the recipes with fewer ingredients and steps always come out best?Labels: From the Recipe Box, ROTW
